Making her first appearance at this year’s Big Into Baby Show in the Odyssey Arena, Belfast is Prima Baby Magazine’s own Wondernanny – Gitte Daniels.

Gitte Daniels is an expert contributor to Prima Baby magazine’s Wondernanny Page, helping families with various parenting issues. Her experience has helped many families both individually and through the magazine and website babyexpert.com. Gitte has also written articles for the Scotsman magazine and appeared on radio. She is a regular attendee on stage at the UK-based Baby Shows.

Gitte’s calm but no nonsense approach to child care has meant that many parents have been given the tools to improve their family life, whether it’s teaching them to better understand their child, communicate with them more effectively or to simply regain control.

Gitte’s Career with children began in 1988 after studying for two years and qualifying as an N.N.E.B. She worked as a professional Nanny in the UK, Europe, the USA and also Australia. Alongside her experience of working directly with children, Gitte was also a consultant working in a Nanny agency for two years, helping families through the complexities of finding and employing a Nanny.

Before contributing to Prima Baby magazine she was part of the team involved with the launch in early 2006 of the weekly magazine, Real People. Each issue featured a family Gitte visited and worked with personally in their home as Wondernanny.

Gitte is currently working on a book about toddlers which is hoped will be released in early 2009. 

Gitte says: ‘I feel privileged to have been able to guide and influence so many young lives. Living and working as part of a family unit gave me a real understanding of the complex issues that comes with raising a child in today’s society. I believe that every parent is a good parent, but occasionally they can lose their way. I want to help them find their way back again so they can be proud not only of their children but of themselves.’
